The International Nitrogen Initiative has a Core Office, a Steering Committee (SC), a Scientific Advisory Committee and associated Consultants (SAC), and six regional offices. The Core Office is located at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA; Jim Galloway (Chair) runs the day-to-day operations of the overall INI.
The six regional centers all have either Coordinators or Directors and are in the process of being formulated. Eventually each Center will have a Director, a Board of Advisors, and an institutional home.
The Steering Committee has nine members and is responsible for International Nitrogen Initiative activities. The Scientific Advisory Committee (and associated Consultants) is composed of experts in the diverse areas of nitrogen and is advisory to the SC.
